Compostable Garbage Bags ! It Is Plastic Free

How are compostable garbage bags different from regular plastic bags?

We all know plastic bags, plastic spoons, plastic plates, and so on plastic products. There is almost everything made out of plastics.

The problem with plastic is it doesn’t get degraded easily. You need to burn it. If you burn it will give out poisonous gases into the atmosphere which is even worse than let it lie at some place.

The Hazard of plastic is increasing, we had studies that came up in recent times on presence of microplastic in water too.

More than 8 million tons of plastic are dumped in our oceans every year.

The compostable plastic, on the other hand, is a substance made out of organic extract such as corn starch. These garbage bags gets degraded within 60 to 180 days after getting exposed to soil, water, and sunlight.

Not to mistake with biodegradable plastic bags. Biodegradable plastic does not get composed; it doesn’t get mixed with soil. It is not even helpful for recycling. In addition, there is no exact specified standard time where it gets degraded permanently. Even though it is sold as biodegradable, disposing of any plastic with such quality will end up in landfills which further leads to a hazardous effect on the environment for the long term.
